Plainfield Township, Pa-- More then 150 firefighters from 7 counties responded to the blaze at Nicos Polymers which lasted over 24 hrs. Arriving companies had a building well off issues with a sprinkler system reportedly malfunctioning and no sufficient hydrants to lay in and control the blaze. The farthest company I saw fall in was from Berks County roughly over 30 miles away, reminded me of the Somerset County,NJ Bradco Fire. Major operations were reportedly wrapped up around 8 am over 24 hrs later with the exception of the spot fires through the day. All in all 7 counties responded to the blaze, at scene and covers... Northampton, Lehigh, Bucks, Berks, Monroe, Carbon and Warren County, NJ.
